Thin walls, hallway chatter, a roommate on a different sleep schedule, and that mysterious banging sound at 2 a.m.—dorm noise is part of the experience. A white noise machine is the cheapest way to buy yourself some quiet. The best white noise machine for dorm use is compact, has a real sleep timer, and won’t…
Library sessions, dorm-room chaos, and roommate study hours all have one thing in common: background noise that kills your focus. Noise-cancelling headphones are the difference between studying in a quiet library and studying anywhere. If you’re shopping for your first pair, focus on battery life, comfort for long wear, and how well the mic handles…
Your dorm room has about 12 square feet of usable floor space, one tiny closet, and a roommate who also owns clothes. A drying rack has to earn its spot. The right one folds flat, fits under your bed, and doesn’t turn your room into a laundry obstacle course. Here’s what to check before you…
Your dorm room has maybe 12 square feet of open floor space, and half of that will disappear once your roommate’s stuff arrives.
